Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry provides clinical services for children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disturbances and trains medical students, residents, and fellows in child and adolescent psychiatry. The program reflects a balanced emphasis on developmental psychopathology, psychodynamic psychiatry and neurobiology. The faculty treats psychosomatic difficulties, alcohol and substance abuse, post traumatic stress disorder and other anxiety disorders, affective disorders, psychotic disorders, and disruptive behavior disorders.

The hospital has specialized inpatient and day treatment facilities for both the adolescent and the child population. To learn more, visit our pages on the Vanderbilt Department of Psychiatry Web site.
