Pediatric Pharmacy Residency (PGY2)

Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Residency Brochure

Pharmaceutical care is a practice philosophy at Children's Hospital.  This ASHP-accredited residency program allows the pharmacy resident to provide patient-focused care on a daily basis, in a variety of practice settings.  The 12-month residency training program offers the following rotations:

 Ambulatory Care (longitudinal)  Oncology
 Pediatric Medicine (2 months)  Stem Cell Transplant
 Pediatric Intensive Care   Teaching Month
 Neonatal Intensive Care   
 Information Management-Technology (longitudinal)  
 Drug Information/Drug Policy (longitudinal)

          

Fringe Benefits
Educational leave, learning materials, paid vacations, paid holidays, sick leave, travel and relocation allowance.

Estimated Stipend:  $52,000

Special Requirements For Acceptance
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a graduate of a Doctor of Pharmacy program, and be a licensed pharmacist, with reciprocation to Tennessee.  Completion of Pharmacy Practice Residency is required.  Minority applicants are encouraged to apply.

Complete an application and forward to Paige Fuller, PharmD, BCPS, for the Pediatric Pharmacy Residency PGY2 (application deadline Friday, January 8th at 5 p.m. CST).  Indicate in an accompanying letter when you would be able to come to Nashville for a personal interview.  Three letters of reference from Pharmacy faculty or supervisory pharmacists are required.  Official university or school transcripts are also required (please provide both pre-pharmacy/undergraduate and pharmacy school transcripts.)
