Our pediatric neurology faculty offer consultation services at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt by evaluating and working with patients and families who are dealing with illnesses, disorders, and conditions that involve the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles). The clinic and its associated diagnostic laboratories are located on the 6th floor of the Doctors' Office Tower at Children's Hospital.
Diagnostic tests available in the clinic include lumbar puncture, electroencephalography (EEG), and electromyography (EMG). The clinic schedules diagnostic imaging of the brain, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT), with the Department of Radiology.
All patients require referral by their primary care physician. For the evaluation and treatment of learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and pervasive developmental disorders such as infantile autism, please contact the Center for Child Development at 615.936.0249.
