From the time the conjoined twins and their parents arrived at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, until the separation surgery on April 7, dozens of staff and physicians worked to care for the babies and ensure they would be at their best health.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's News and Public Affairs Photographer, Joe Howell, followed the care of babies Zoey and Keylee Miller throughout their stay and surgery. The video here is a compilation of Joe’s photographs between February and April 2009.
