The mission of the Vanderbilt Hemostasis Clinic is to provide the highest quality treatment and compassionate care for children and adults with bleeding disorders.
The clinic provides comprehensive health promotion with an emphasis on prevention, and offers a variety of services for patients with bleeding disorders. We also offer many opportunities for our patients to participate in current bleeding disorder research.
The Vanderbilt Hemostasis Clinic is one of five state funded, and one of three federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) in Tennessee. The clinic is also part of a regional network of over 130 HTCs in the United States. HTCs in this network abide by federal guidelines for the delivery of comprehensive hemophilia services as developed by the Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF).
