Pediatric/Adolescent HIV/AIDS Clinic

The HIV/AIDS Clinic at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is part of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The patients that are seen in our clinic have already been seen by a pediatrician or primary care physician and have been referred to us for additional patient care. Our clinic operates on a referral only basis.

We work very closely with other clinics and programs within the division to help HIV infected children receive the best possible care. You can be assured that your child will receive treatment that includes the benefit of input from veteran physicians, innovative residents and fellows who are committed to being on the cutting edge of the latest research as it relates to HIV and the treatment of our patients.

Our HIV clinic is also linked to the Comprehensive Care Center to provide optimal care for pregnant HIV-infected mothers and their children. With proper care, the risk of such a child becoming infected is rare, however we carefully follow these children until their status is determined.
