The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt understands that teenagers have unique health care needs and are more comfortable in a waiting room with other teens than with young children. With this in mind, the Adolescent Medicine program serves adolescents in a clinic that is designed and staffed to meet their special health care needs. In addition to board-certified Adolescent Medicine physicians, our health care team incorporates nursing, nutrition, social services, psychology, and other pediatric/medical specialties. For referral patients, we incorporate the primary care provider as a critical component of the team during the course of treatment. Timely and effective communication with all health care professionals involved is an essential part of our treatment philosophy. Learn more about Adolescent Medicine: |
