While in the hospital, your child will receive meals selected by Nutrition Services that meet his or her nutritional needs, are appropriate for your child’s age, and that consider diet restrictions ordered by the physician. Meal trays will be delivered to your child’s room at traditional meal times.
 The physician or the dietitian may request snacks between meals for your child. These snacks will be delivered to your child’s room at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and at bedtime. If your child’s diet allows, you may request snacks without an order from your physician.
If you wish to discuss our food service, please ask to speak with a member of the Nutrition Services staff. We strive to please you and always welcome your comments or suggestions. Every effort will be made to meet your child’s needs.
The Vandy Café, Suzie’s Espresso Coffee Shop, Subway, Ben & Jerry's, and Taco Bell and Pizza Hut Express are located on the second floor and serve a large variety of hot meals, sandwiches, salads, snacks, and beverages. Carryout containers are available for visitors to take meals to patient rooms. McDonald's is located on the courtyard of Vanderbilt University Hospital, about a three-minute walk from Children's Hospital.

Lunch and Dinner: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
