Overview of Billing Statements

Children’s Hospital has two different billing statements according to the charges for services your child will receive. You could receive one or more of the following:

  • VMG Physician statement includes all professional services. You will not receive a bill from your physicians until one of the following occurs:

1.  Insurance has paid and you have a deductible or co-insurance amount
2.  Insurance has denied and the balance is now due from you
3.  You do not have insurance to cover this balance

The statement you receive will be itemized and will show all charges that remain unpaid.

  • The Children’s Hospital statement includes all technical charges.  Your child’s room and board charges and all equipment and technician costs will be on this statement.  You will receive an informational statement showing an itemization of the charges received and an estimated amount due.  You will not receive another statement until one of the following occurs:

1.  Insurance has paid and you have a deductible or co-insurance amount
2.  Insurance has denied and the balance is now due from you

If you have questions regarding your physician and/or hospital/clinic statement, you may speak with a Customer Service representative during our regular office hours.
