Eligibility
Integration program: Ages 6-15, community day program for 6 weeks.

Summer Work Program: Ages 16-21, work 20 hours/week for 6 weeks.


Services
SUMMER INTEGRATION PROGRAM - This serves children between the ages of 6-15 who are diagnosed with autism. Each child is enrolled in a community day program for approximately 6 weeks during the summer. The advantages and benefits of this program are:
* Children have a wonderful summer experience, including swimming, field trips and physical activities.
* Children make new friends and are able to learn about the differences and similarities each individual has to offer.
* Parents have supervised day care for their children.

SUMMER WORK PROGRAM - For youths with disabilities between the ages of 16-21. Each youth entering this program works approximately 20 hours per week for a period of 6 weeks. The benefits and advantages of this program are:
* Youths learn the rewards of work and the expectations of employers.
* Youths are able to build self-esteem and confidence in their abilities.
* Youths have a scheduled summer activity, gain work experience and earn money as they learn to be a good employee.
* Youths also get the opportunity to meet other individuals in a work setting which helps to prepare them for adult responsibilities.
